Founder & Chairman
Founder of GRUPO CONSUTUR, with a career path of more than 22 years in the Hotel Industry. MBA from Universidad de Costa Rica, specializing in Finance.
Background in both Hotel Operations and Hotel Development, started his Hospitality career as Assistant Controller for the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica. Also worked as Director of Finance for Los Sueños Marriott, then as General Manager of the Pacific Cruising Company. Board member on several occasions of the Costa Rica Hotel Chamber Association (CCH), currently a member of the Guanacaste Dry Forest Conservation Fund.
Javier González
Managing Director
Javier holds a Master's Degree in Professional Project Management from The Technological Institute of Costa Rica (TEC).
Key Abilities: Leadership, Project Management, Change Management, results oriented.
Broad experience leading specialized teams with national and international experience working over 8 years for General Cable Corporation in Costa Rica and Oceania. Plant Manager in Costa Rica and Head of Operations in New Zealand responsible for the Oceania Region.
Rodrigo Sánchez
Project Manager
Rodrigo is a civil engineer with over 5 years experience in Hospitality Project Management.
Key Abilities: Project Management, contracting, coordination, planning.
Participated in development, construction, equipment and renovation of limited service Hotels and Luxury Resorts.
Maurice Chartier
■ Maurice began his hospitality career with Marriott International in 1996 when he became the opening Assistant Controller for the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel in San José, Costa Rica. Promoted 2 years later as Director of Finance for Los Sueños Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort in Costa Rica.
■ In 2001 as General Manager of Pacific Cruising Company, Maurice was actively involved in all functional areas of the business including financial, operational and marketing of the two cruises under a marketing alliance with Cruise West and Lindblad-Expeditions- National Geographic.
■ Strong commercial relationships with key players, including: best hotel chains, top design consultants, proven general contractors, local and regional banks.
■ Has been a Board member on several occasions of the Costa Rican Hotel Chamber Association (CCH) and is currently a member of the Guanacaste Dry Forest Conservation Fund.

Javier González

■ As Oceania Executive team member, has been an active contributor to the Design and creation of the long-term strategies to fulfil New Zealand and Australia market needs and to improve business Return of Capital Employed (ROCE) with focus on optimization of: products-machine profile-people-processes & systems.
■ Javier worked as Operations Manager for a Maritime Agency; as well as as Process Engineer Team Leader and Manufacturing Integrator in Intel, Costa Rica.
■ Major achievements on productivity improvement, profitability, culture change and safety practices have demonstrated Javier’s leadership through engagement, accountability, communication and team´s empowerment.
■ All of this experience and demonstrated results and proactivity make for an ideal fit with CONSUTUR GROUP.
Rodrigo Sánchez
■ Rodrigo is a civil engineer with over 5 years experience in Hospitality Project Management.

■ Participated in development, construction, equipment and renovation of limited service Hotels and Luxury Resorts.
■ International experience participating in the design phases of the Four Seasons in Guatemala and Dominican Republic.
■ Developed Team member for the first Hyatt Place Hotel outside of the United States; Also, he was part of the expansion and equipping of the new terminal of Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia, Costa Rica.
■ Ccompleted a renovation of Public Areas for the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel in San José and the Los Sueños Marriott in Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
■ His experience in Costa Rica and abroad have allowed him to create alliances and contacts with renowned consultants, contractors and other players involved in Hotel Projects.
Catalina Arguedas
■ Catalina ia an outstanding professional specializing in Financial and Commercial Management. Business Administrator with a Master's degree in Finance from the University of Costa Rica. Has a successful record in negotiating with customers and suppliers.
■ Knowledge in handling different accounting modules and experience in Cash flows, financial analysis, investments and budgets.
■ Catalina has excellent leadership skills with a clear orientation towards the mission and vision of the business.
■ Over 20 years experience in global enterprises including 6 years as a Financial Analyst for the Pacific Cruising Company.
■ Seven years as Commercial Controller in Siemens A.G.
■ Catalina is characterized for being a strong team player with excellent relationship-building skills, who enjoys collaborating with internal and external partners in order to drive results.
